Young, active epidermal stem cells can, in the laboratory, form a complete epidermis composed of all its layers. However, if older stem cells are used, their multiplication stops, interrupting epidermal formation. These stem cells are exhausted and have reached the end of their life cycle. However, when an extract of Malus Domestica stem cells is added during the cultivation of these cells, even "old" stem cells can generate a complete epidermis. Under the influence of this extract, epidermal stem cells maintain their vitality longer, promoting the formation of new tissue and skin regeneration.

The anti-wrinkle action of PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica was evaluated in a clinical study involving 20 participants aged 37 to 64 years. An emulsion containing 2% PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica was applied to the crow's feet area for 28 days. The results revealed a clear and significant reduction in wrinkles in all participants.
